Brine Shrimp Lethality Test 
Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) involves testing lethality to brine shrimp nauplii.
LC50 value of  KALMCOLD TM  was found to be 52.98 µg/ml.
   Lipoxygenase (LOX) inhibition assay
 
 KALMCOLD TM inhibited lipoxygenase enzyme in a concentration dependant manner.
IC50 of   KALMCOLD TM   = 197.87 µg/ml.
   Prostaglasdin E2 (PGE2) inhibition assay
 
KALMCOLD TM significantly inhibited PGE2 levels in LPS treated J774A.1 murine macrophages. Maximum inhibition of 53% was observed at the highest concentration of 50 µg/ml.
   Nitric oxide scavenging assay 
 
KALMCOLDTM  exhibited nitric oxide scavenging activity in a dose dependant manner in LPS treated J774A.1 murine macrophages in vitro.
IC50 of  KALMCOLDTM  = 20 µg/ml.
   Leukotriene B4 (LTB4) inhibition assay
 
KALMCOLDTM   significantly inhibited LTB4 levels in A23187 treated HL-60 human promyelocytic leukemic cells in vitro.
IC50 of  KALMCOLDTM ~ 30 µg/ml.
   Thromboxane B2 (TXB2) inhibition assay
 
KALMCOLDTM exhibited TXB2 inhibiting potential in A23187 treated HL-60 human promyelocytic leukemia cells.
IC50 value was found to be ~ 12 µg/ml.
   Interleukin 1β (IL - 1β) inhibition assay
 
KALMCOLDTM showed statistically significant inhibition of LPS induced IL-1β levels in J774A.1 murine macrophages in vitro.
The maximum inhibition of 27% was observed at concentrations of 30 and 40 µg/ml.
